Bryan Cranston’s portrayal as drug kingpin and master chemist Walter White in AMC’s Breaking Bad became an iconic television character and pop culture sensation during the show’s tenure. The role earned Cranston numerous awards throughout the years and helped resurrect and reinvent his career. Now, Cranston is resurrecting the character in the name of the Super Bowl.

AdAge reports that Cranston as White will appear in an upcoming Super Bowl ad for PopCorners. The Frito-Lay brand teased the spot in December with a silhouette of Walter White standing in the desert, holding a big bag of white cheddar PopCorners. You can check out the tease below.

Cranston has previously revived Walter White in cameos in 2019’s El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie and two episodes in Better Call Saul’s final season, which aired in 2022.

Since Breaking Bad’s end, Cranston has stayed consistently working on such projects as Liongate’s attempted Power Rangers reboot as Zordon, provided the voice of Po’s father in Kung-Fun Panda 3, and received his first Academy award nomination screenwriter Dalton Trumbo in the biopic Trumbo.

This is not the first time the Super Bowl has reunited stars with trademark roles. Back in 2019, Jeff Bridges donned the sweater of the Big Lebowski once again to promote beer.
